Many people quickly associate this public figure with violence and hatred. The reality is Malcolm X is still one of the most positive influences on American society. The duration of his career saw a transformation, an awakening, and a powerful realization for his community. Motivated purely by self-improvement in his early years, to working to ensure a positive environment for his family and future generations, I am without a doubt his premature and tragic death was at the peak of his influence, cementing his martyrdom.
